Moustafa is a member of African Leadership Academy’s graduating class of 2016. He currently studies Computer Science and Statistics at University of Rochester, New York. Besides his passion for data and programming, Moustafa is a humanitarian, storyteller, and activist. He has spoken at conferences including TEDxYouth@ALA and TEDxYouth@Alexandria addressing how to embrace diversity of cultures and beliefs, and using diversity as a tool for unity. He founded I-Debate, the first debate club for youth between the ages of 14 and 18 in Alexandria, Egypt and served as Director of Media & Communications for the 2016 African Leadership Academy Model African Union (ALAMAU). He has equally participated in various scientific programs including the Egyptian Olympics in Informatics. At the University of Rochester, Moustafa was nominated and elected to the Executive Board of RC MERT (River Campus Medical Emergency Response Team), an elite organization providing quality care to the University community.
