Utani HikuamNamibia | Director, Future Africa Academy

As a student at the African Leadership Academy, Utani’s passion for international relations and development began when he joined the International Relations Council at the Academy. There, he took part in lively conversations on international affairs, and was selected to attend the Harvard Model United Nations, held in Boston, in 2016. Thereafter, he hosted two consecutive Model African Union conferences, as the Deputy Chairperson of the Ad-hoc Committee on Political Instability, as well as the Committee Chairperson of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development. All of these experiences have fostered in him a passion for Africa’s development. As a result, through Future Africa, Utani aims to illuminate Africa’s true potential, in order to redefine what it means to be a millennial on a continent

which is about to experience the world’s next economic explosion.
