Christopher Kuria
Christopher Kuria is a public policy enthusiast with a keen interest working on meaningful youth engagement in governance and Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) advocacy. He is passionate about youth empowerment, adolescent and youth sexual reproductive health rights realization, civic education, budget & policy advocacy.
With a background in spatial planning, he firmly believes transformative governance in his country & Africa at large can be realized through participatory development that is informed, designed and founded on the citizenry and their needs, devoid of corruption and political exclusion. He believes meaningful public participation in governance does not only improve citizens’ access to opportunities
but also ensures their active contribution and participation in development & decision making processes for the realization of good governance, effective policies and accountability.
Chris, who is also a YALI alumnus, has been extensively involved in project implementation, sexual reproductive health sensitization, youth empowerment, budget & policy advocacy and resource mobilization.
Through the Future Africa Fellowship, Chris is optimistic on advancing towards his long term aspiration as a regional & global public policy practitioner.
