FUTURE AFRICA AMBASSADORS

The Future Africa Ambassadors is a network of passionate youth leaders across the continent who lead advocacy projects and campaign actively for the implementation of development policies at local, national, regional and continental levels.

Ambassadors are provided with an advocacy toolkit and supported to take action to sensitize local populations about active citizen engagement and collaboration. Each year, Future Africa recruits and trains new ambassadors as part of an audacious mission to have an active community of ambassadors in 100 African cities by 2025.

FUTURE AFRICA SCHOLARS

The Future Africa Scholars Program is a half-year learning experience with a writing and research-intensive focus aimed at preparing the next generation of high impact public sector leaders for the continent to be able to research and write for impact. The program is based on an expert-curated curriculum. We believe that if more young people envision careers in the public sector, there is a higher possibility of seeing long-term success for political and economic stability. 

The purpose of the Future Africa Scholars Program is to equip young African leaders with the requisite skills for research and communication in order to address misconceptions about the public sector and prepare young people for careers of leadership. The Program is open to young people aged 21-25 who have completed high school.

Each year, Future Africa recruits and trains a cohort of Scholars across the continent who join the Future Africa leadership network.

The Future Africa Fellowship is year-long learning experience that provides aspiring public sector leaders and social innovators with the knowledge, network and skills required to transform the African political economy. The Fellowship incorporates research, debate and rigorous analysis designed to empower Fellows to participate in developing implementable policy proposals for local, national and regional contexts. During the virtual programme,

Fellows will complete a series of selected readings, evaluate varying perspectives on policy approaches, engage in quality debate and develop critical reviews of existing policies and new proposals designed to address Africa’s development needs. The Fellowship will develop 2,500 trained public sector leaders in 10 years.

The Future Africa Forum is organized as a periodic seminar series with experts on specific themes including: basic and tertiary education, entrepreneurship and employability, agriculture, peace and security, natural resource management, elections and democratic governance, healthcare, information technology and infrastructure development.

The Forum aims to create broad awareness on the realities of development deficiencies on the continent and to enable aspiring public sector leaders to explore various avenues through which these deficiencies could be addressed.
