Lynnet Phiri
Lynnet is a registered Attorney of the courts of Zimbabwe, notary public and conveyancer. She currently works with the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum as a Projects Lawyer. Her areas of focus are predominantly public interest litigation, anti-impunity litigation and citizen empowerment initiatives. In her role she engages in human rights advocacy work strategically engaging various State and non-State stakeholders in the advancement of the human rights agenda in Zimbabwe.
She graduated with her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from Midlands State University and is currently studying towards her Master of Laws (Constitutional and Human Rights Law) (LLM) with the Midlands State University. Her professional areas of interest vary from international and domestic human rights law, women’s rights, and constitutional law.
Her vision is centered on the realization of human rights in Africa and the empowerment of the youth to take on more leadership roles in society. She is a strong advocate of the inclusion of marginalized groups in governance roles.
