Benitha Irumva Kezakase
Benitha Irumva Kezakase is a prospective student in Agricultural Sciences at Earth Univertiy in Costa Rica. She is passionate about Africa’s agricultural transformation through the involvement of women and youth, smallholder and rural farmers empowerment, and the use of advanced technology (Artificial Intelligence). Working with people is her life’s calling as it gives her space to listen and learn from other’s stories as every story told always has a lesson to learn. As a whole person, integrity, empathy, and diligence are the core values that guide her personal and professional endeavours.
She is a cofounder and Director of Logistics and Project Management in InnovXAfrica, which is a company that seeks to find solutions to different challenges hindering the Africa’s development such as climate change and its impact, illiteracy, poor healthy care. With her passion for alleviating hunger and food insecuriy in Africa though modernised and conservation agriculture, she interned with Bridge2Rwanda Farms, which trains small holder farmers across Africa on zero tillage Foundations for Farming, and is also learning Artificial Intelligence with Africa Agility with a hope of getting the skills that will enalbe her to bridge the technology gap in Africa’s Agricultural sector.
Immanuel Mwendwa Kiilu
Immanuel Mwendwa Kiilu, a Bachelor of Arts International Studies undergraduate at Strathmore University, serves as a dedicated Regional Ambassador of Tunza Eco-Generation to Kenya. He passionately advocates for environmental sustainability and eco-friendly policies in Kenya and Africa. His commitment to making a difference doesn’t stop there – he is also an accomplished writer, boasting a list of prestigious awards.
Notable achievements include the Special Merit Awards in the Inaugural Nuclear Essay Contest 2020, a Silver Award in The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2021, the Tunza Eco-Generation Prize in the 14th Eco-Generation Environmental Essay Competition 2021 (Ecosystem Restoration), and a remarkable 4th place in the AU – ECOSOCC Young Africans Writing Contest (YAWC 2022) among the top 10 entries. His compelling words, fueled by a vision of a flourishing future, resonate powerfully as he advocates for positive change in Kenya and beyond.
Akram Sebai
Akram Sebai is a passionate youth advocate and social impact leader with a drive to create positive change. From leading youth development initiatives to founding clubs that support marginalized individuals, he is dedicated to empowering others and fostering a sustainable and inclusive future. With a background in business and management, as well as expertise in UX design and digital marketing, he brings a unique blend of skills to his endeavors.
An alumnus of the American Leadership Academy and who remains actively involved with the Youth Policy Center, he is dedicated to positive change and he is constantly seeking new opportunities to further develop myself and make a meaningful difference.
Abdirazak Hassan Ibrahim
Abdirizak Ibrahim is an Education and M&E Professional. His passion lies in transforming evidence into programmatic and policy improvements. He currently works with Somalia’s Federal Ministry of Education as the Technical Advisor where he supports establishment of robust monitoring and evaluation system for the Education Sector Strategic Plan (2022 -2026). He work closely with the National and Federal Member State Ministries of Education to contribute to delivery of education programs, interventions and strategies for the plan period. Prior to that, he provided technical support on system strengthening including development of Somalia’s Education Sector Strategic Plan (2022-2026).
He is an award-winning scholar by the Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR 2016), Research Scholar at Leaders of Africa Institute’s Research Methods Programme 2023 and HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellow 2023. As an advocate of SDG4, he hosts The Scholar’s Bench, a monthly virtual platform that allows alumni scholars of prestigious scholarships to share their experiences and provide application guidance to prospective African students. He is a Research Scholar at Leaders of Africa Institute’s Research Methods Programme 2023 and EdTech Fellow at HP Cambridge Partnership for Education 2023. He holds M.Ed from the University of Mysore, India.
Wezi Florence Ng’oma
My name is Florence Wezi Ng’oma, I’m a highly motivated undergrad law student in my Second year, with a passion for helping my community and being an advocate for my generation. Since high school, I’ve always had a keen interest in working with several groups on different projects that help to build a better society. With my eager mind and passion for law, I believe helping my community is the only way I’ll see the change I expect to happen. I’ve always looked forward to learning, growing, and contributing to society and paving a brighter future for others in my generation and those to come.
Amanda Nyahoda
I am Amanda Nyahoda, a black young woman born and raised in Malawi with a passion and drive to make a difference not only in my country and Africa but the world. I believe that everyone has got a God-given purpose they are born with however, cultivating and implementing it is where it all begins. It is my mission to support, empower and aid in the education of Malawian youth thus working towards a brighter future for them. Additionally, it is the most fundamental and significant act for it is the key to solving the top issues in our nation which are illiteracy, unemployment and poverty.
Diana Lukela Wataka
Diana Lukela is a qualified accountant, champion for female empowerment and education and
a passionate sustainability enthusiast based in Nairobi, Kenya. Diana holds an undergraduate
degree in Bachelor of Commerce-Accounting from Kenyatta University. She is also a Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) Finalist and a Full Member of Association of Women Accountants of
Kenya (AWAK), a professional body that supports women in accounting profession. She works
as a Management Accountant where she provides information key for decision making.
Diana is passionate about volunteering and her role of a young person as a key actor towards
Africa’s development goals is vital. She is currently serving as the Finance Head of Do It With
Boldness ( DWB)-a non-profit making organization in Kenya that advocates for female
education, proper menstrual health hygiene management and economic empowerment in line
with SDGS Nos.3, 4 and 5.
Diana was drawn to the Future Africa Ambassador 2023 programme because of the opportunity
to channel her passions into grassroot contributions to public sector development in Africa. She
hopes to further increase her passion for social welfare through participation as a YouLead
Delegate 2023, explore and initiate programs around promoting period positivity and gain
crucial knowledge, experience and leadership skills to engage in policy debates on Africa’s
development.
Perazim Singo
Perazim Singo is an ambitious International Relations student with a minor in Sustainable Food Systems at Leiden University in the Hague. She is keen to collaboratively amplify just, equitable and innovative solutions for Sub-Saharan Africa's agri-food systems. She champions awareness and uplifting of the African heritage as a volunteer at Afrispectives, a Dutch Afro-Diasporic organization, and via her podcast show ‘AFRICAN IDENTITY’. She has experience in community support and agricultural development as an English Tutor at Refugee and Hope, Public Relations Intern at Mavuno Technologies and Africa Insights Desk Assistant at the Netherlands-African Business Council. Her experiences have been effectively enhanced by active participation in the African-European Youth Forum (2023), Water Management Hackathon by TNW & Financial Times Talent (2022), Overlapping Crisis Campaign: Food Energy Crisis by World Bank (2022), and Graduate Career Workshop at IHE Delft Institute for Water Education (2023).
At university, Perazim has been a Social Media Volunteer at ReCNTR, and Vice Chair of the Regional Commitee. Moreover, at secondary school she wa engaged in leadership roles including Deputy Head Girl, President of Habitat for Humanity, Secondary Newsletter Correspondent, and Public Relations Prefect. Lastly, Perazim’s been awarded LSE's Academic Director’s Scholarship, the Holland Scholarship, and Highest Sixth Form Scholarship along with being a member of the National Junior Honour Society.
