Mpala Kasumba

Mpala Kasumba is a student at the University of Lusaka. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Law degree. She is an active member of her school’s gender based violence committee alongside being part of the events and planning committee in her school’s law association. She is passionate about encouraging young people to speak out on issues that affect them, protecting human rights, ensuring that justice prevails and spreading awareness about the law.

 In the year 2020 Mpala also started a podcast titled ‘Navigating life with God’ which encourages young people to allow God as they take steps to achieve their dreams and cause an effective change in their communities. Having such a platform has helped her realize the power of young people using their voices to effect the change they desire to see in their communities. Mpala desires to continue using her voice to one day establish a movement that brings young people of all walks of life together so that they may unite to effect positive changes in all areas that affect their livelihood.
