Elizabeth Obode
Elizabeth Obode is an energy professional with a background in Petroleum engineering, Upstream and Midstream experience in the Oil and Gas industry with Schlumberger. She has a Masters in Chemical Engineering (in view) from Texas A&M University at Qatar with research focus on the Techno-economics of renewable energy systems and use of Produced water for electricity generation done in conjunction with Qatar Foundation and Conoco Phillips Qatar.
She has received the ExxonMobil Scholarship for academic excellence and inaugurated into the Chemical Engineering honors society – Omega Chi Epsilon. She has been recognized for her volunteer work as Team lead for Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and as Section Judge for Student chapters of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. She has also been recognized for service in the Emerging African Scholars Mentorship Program.
Her interests lie in the intersection between Science, Technology and Policy and the vision is for a continent where energy poverty is dead and cutting-edge science and technology can be assessed a
stroll away from home and the true strength of the African is celebrated and rewarded across the world. She is a dreamer, using science and policy to articulate these dreams.
