Gibrill Amid Sesay
Gibril Amid Sesay is currently a Registry Secretary at the Canadian University of Modern Technology – Sierra Leone, working as a principal assistant to the Registrar and Director of Quality Assurance at the university ensuring quality in tertiary institutions in Sierra Leone.
Before joining Canadian University, Gibrill was an established young leader, children and women activist, active community mobilizer, and a season social entrepreneur who has impacted thousands of young people in his home country – Sierra Leone. In 2014, during the Ebola pandemic, he confounded a community resilient movement that help mitigate the virus dubbed “Children in Support for Change – Sierra Leone, Gibrill is the founder of Initiative for Rural
Development Organization an agro-based organization that empowers rural women and the girl child. In the past few years, Gibrill has been captured among many leadership and youth empowerment platforms including the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI Ghana), International Model for United Nations Sierra Leone, Community Engagement Exchange Program USA. Gibrill has a deep passion for rural development, youth empowerment, peace, and accountability as a trained Social Worker from Njala University – Sierra Leone.
