Bakengana Paddy
Paddy Bakengana is an early career multi-skilled consultant interested in renewable energy, Human resource management, Project management, and public policy. In December 2021, he graduated with a Master of Science in Energy Policy from the prestigious Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences, including climate change (PAUWES) in Algeria. His first degree in Public Administration was earned from Gulu University in Uganda. He has done several post-graduate trainings in administrative law (Uganda), French language (Algeria), Human rights (Cameroon), Advanced Entrepreneurship and business management (South Africa), and Climate Change (Kenya) Paddy has worked as a junior energy research consultant at HEDERA Sustainable solutions based in Berlin (Germany) and as a research intern at the West African Science center for
Climate Change and Adapted land use (WASCAL) in Burkina Faso.
In 2017, he worked as a project administrator at Irrisol Engineering Limited in Uganda. Paddy believes that the future of Africa is in the hands of the youth and has always aspired to create a sustainable impact on Africa and looks forward to becoming a top-notch energy and environmental policy expert in the region. His motivation to join Future Africa Fellowship is drawn from the less attention given to the environment by many African countries. Yet, Africa’s future and the world depend on a clean environment for sustainability. He intends to widen his environmental activism by sharing details with like-minded brilliant people in the Future Africa Fellowship.
